Metropolitan Properties, Inc. has over 46 years experience in developing, owning, and operating numerous types of commercial properties, including multi-story office buildings, single level office-service centers, single tenant buildings and shopping centers. Our projects have varied in size from 10,000 square feet to over 400,000 square feet. We have fulfilled the needs of some of the nation’s largest companies such as IBM, General Electric, Walt Disney World Co., CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, AT&T and many others, as well as those of numerous professionals and individual business owners. In addition, we have experience developing auto malls as well as site planning for individual dealerships.


The Heights Village

The Heights Village in suburban Birmingham, Alabama was initially acquired in 1983. MPI first renovated this property in 1984. The property was annexed into the city of Vestavia Hills, Alabama in 2002.

The property was renovated again in 2005 and expanded to a 48, 245 sq ft. lifestyle center appealing primarily to medium to high-end boutiques and others including Regions Bank, Starbucks, and Learning Express Toys. MPI remains active in leasing and management of the property.

Daytona International Auto Mall

The Daytona International Auto Mall, located in Daytona Beach, Florida – Opened fully occupied in 2001. Dealerships included Nisson, Chrysler/Dodge, Ford, & Kia. It’s situated on approximately 156 acres.

Boca Colannade

Boca Raton, FL – Opened, 1986 – 155,000 sq. ft. substantially leased to IBM & NCCI

Brookwood Metroplex

Suburban Birmingham, AL – Opened, 1975 – 380,000 sq. ft. Corporate Headquarters of Vulcan Materials, Inc. & regional offices for Sperry Univac, General Electric Company, Aetna, St. Paul, & other national and local companies.

Lakeshore Park

Suburban Birmingham, AL – Opened, 1979 – 190,000  sq. ft. Substantially leased to the Hartford Company and the Stonewall Insurance Company.

Park Place Tower

Downtown Birmingham, AL – Opened 1984, – 325,000 sq. ft.  Largely leased to Southern Natural Gas, the Bradley Arant Rose & White law firm and numerous other law firms.

Riverchase Office – Service Center
